TITLE: Post-Secondary Task Force Facilitator

TYPE OF POSITION: Part-time through June 30, 2024

STIPEND: $2800, subject to the terms and limitations of the grant funding the position

LOCATION:  District, Hopkinton, Massachusetts

AREA OF CONSIDERATION: All qualified current HPS educators

Using funds provided through an FY24 MA DESE MyCAP Implementation grant, Hopkinton Public Schools will convene a task force to study, explore and make recommendations for how the District can best support students in identifying passions and planning for post-secondary education, training or employment.  Guiding the work are DESE’s three domains post-secondary success: academic achievement, personal/social skill development and workplace readiness.  The outcome will be a proposal for how Hopkinton will allow students to engage in post-secondary exploration through three areas of formation: DISCOVER, PLAN, ACT.  The group is not doing the work ahead, but rather researching, exploring, strategizing, planning and proposing what the work can and will be.  We want to have a structure, plan and program in place that is comprehensive, cohesive and sustainable for years to come.

The task force will be led by the The Post-Secondary Task Force Facilitator, with active participation from all members.  The group will collectively determine the timing, structure and cadence of the work so that a high-quality proposal may be delivered to the Assistant Superintendent on or before June 30, 2024.  This written report will contain the actions of the task force, a summary of the District's past and current activities in the area of post-secondary planning, and recommendations for the implementation of a comprehensive, system-wide approach to post-secondary education preparation and readiness. The Post-Secondary Task Force Facilitator reports to the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction.
